What makes a high-quality Flygt pump
The mechanical seal of Feili Zhenzong ensures customers have no worries
Reliability means no accidents, which is a process of continuous improvement,
Only by eliminating defects in every link can you obtain a truly reliable water pump.
What makes a high-quality Flygt pump?
The outstanding performance of Flygt's water pumps and agitators stems from our continuous pursuit of quality. Only when you use Flygt's high-quality spare parts will you receive a high-quality product. The use of inferior or non-original spare parts will affect the overall quality of the product.
The heart of the water pump - mechanical seal
Excellent material
The material of the sealing surface needs to have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The tungsten carbide alloy we have jointly developed with metallurgists possesses both of these characteristics,
So even in very harsh conditions, such as in a corrosive environment, under high pressure, or without proper lubrication, the tungsten carbide mechanical seal can still maintain long-term effectiveness. jpg
Handling acidic media
For seawater or media with a low pH value, we offer silicon carbide mechanical seals, which exhibit wear resistance comparable to tungsten carbide and superior acid resistance.
Sealing surface with concavity
The smoother the sealing surface of a mechanical seal, the better its working performance. Most mechanical seals have smooth sealing surfaces at room temperature. However, when the temperature rises after startup, protrusions may appear on the sealing surface, reducing its sealing performance. At Flygt, we manufacture sealing surfaces with a very small concavity of less than one micron. When the mechanical seal is in operation and the temperature rises, the concavity of the sealing surface becomes flat. In other words, when the Flygt water pump is running, the sealing surface is smoother.
Double-layer protection
Each pump and mixer from ITT Flygt is equipped with a double-layer mechanical seal, ensuring greater safety and reducing the risk of leakage
Spin-Out
Tiny sand particles sometimes accumulate in the gaps of mechanical seals, causing them to fail. Spin-Out, a patented technology of Flygt, utilizes the centrifugal force generated during shaft rotation to remove these small particles from the gaps of mechanical seals, thereby reducing seal wear and preventing blockage
Good cooling
In many pumping scenarios, the liquid level can drop so low that air is drawn into the pump along with the liquid. At this point, the seal is surrounded by air and cannot dissipate heat through the liquid, which can easily lead to overheating and leakage. To achieve rapid and effective cooling, even when the pump is operating in a dry mode, the seal can still be well cooled.
Inserted mechanical seal
One of the main reasons for mechanical seal failure is improper installation methods or insufficient care. The so-called plug-in mechanical seal refers to a design where the inner and outer seals are assembled into a single unit at the factory. This design prevents dust and particles that can easily cause leaks from coming into contact with the sealing surface, and prevents fibers from getting entangled in the pressure spring on the sealing surface. This integrated design simplifies the installation of the mechanical seal and greatly reduces damage caused by human factors
Procure flexibly
The mechanical seals from Feili can be purchased separately or included in a service kit. Each service kit contains the spare parts typically required for overhauling water pumps or agitators.
